Fill in the ___________:
Values and Principles

Sometimes, when time is tight, it doesn't hurt to use a formula
in order to create a set of values and principles to be used in your working mission and vision statement.

One way to create a formula of values and principles is to ask good questions about shared beliefs. The answers to these questions can provide meaningful snapshots of what makes your library special and define one set of principles.
(Notice that the following examples refer to how the library currently operates, not a new destination.)

Roll over each question to see some example responses you might use to create values and principles:

What are three important values that motivate our library's decisions?
What makes our library different from other libraries in the region?
What do our library users like best about us?
What do the managers and employees like best about working in the library?
